Like Daytona Beach, motor vehicles are permitted on the beach in designated areas for a daily fee of $6.00. Remember, no alcohol or glass is allowed and pets must be kept on a leash. Lifeguards are on duty on a seasonal basis.

Beach Blast Off 2012: Enjoy a blast of flavor, icy sculptures and fireworks when several of St. Augustine’s favorite restaurants serve up chili for tasting and judging at the Fire and Ice Chili Cook-off from 4 to 10 p.m. The fireworks, synchronized to music, begin at 8:30 p.m. at the St. Johns County Fishing Pier and Pavilion, 350 A1A Beach Blvd., St. Augustine Beach. Pedestrian safety in crosswalks is first and foremost at beach
St. Augustine Beach is testing a new pedestrian safety system to see if residents can safely cross A1A Beach Boulevard. The residents have said they have had trouble crossing the highway because drivers failed to stop for them when they were in the crosswalks.

Wednesday's, 8:00a to 12:30p at St. Johns County Pier, St Augustine Beach, FL
The Wednesday Farmers Market boasts a wide variety of purchasing options including but not limited to fruits, vegetables, breads, seafood, honeys, nuts, coffees, custom clothing, crafts.
There are two farmers markets held weekly on the island. The Wednesday Market, at the St. Augustine Beach Pier Park, is from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Saturday Market, at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Both offer seasonal produce as well as art and crafts, bakery goods, seafood specials and more.
